Position Summary

You will play a pivotal role in shaping our workplace culture, managing our workforce and ensuring the success of our employees. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage the day-to-day Human Resources function across our Canadian Operations. This role will have responsibilities for managing our talent acquisition team, employee relations, employee development, compliance training, social events, safety and many other basic HR disciplines as we strive to become one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers.

We need a bilingual HR Manager because the individual will serve both Quebec and the rest of Canada provinces.

In this role, you will...

• Talent Acquisition:
• Lead the Talent Acquisition Team, including continuous improvement to our recruitment processes. Ensure employment contracts stay up to date.
• Ensure processes are followed and clear roadblocks for the recruiters.
• Ensure synergies between our Talent Acquisition Team.
• Employee Relations:
• Act as a trusted resource for both management and the employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and conflict resolution.
• Foster a workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives, social events and recognition programs.
• Assist with on-boarding and off-boarding processes.
• Stay up-to-date with labour laws, regulations, and industry trends ensuring company’s compliance.
• Assist managers in writing discipline letters.
• Manage org charts, peer to peer recognition, social events, corporate social responsibility.
• You will create an environment of open communications, active problem-solving, and a positive work environment.
• You will be responsible for leading change and inspiring your people every day.
• Employee Development
• Work closely with managers, employees, and the Corporate Trainer to develop training opportunities for employees.
• Manage Individual Development Plan program
• Compliance Training
• Ensure the company maintains legal compliance with various legislations, including safety,
Accessibility, Quebec Training, Pay Equity, and Employment Equity Initiatives
• Policy and Procedures
• Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline HR processes and use of resources and materials.
• Perform other HR-related duties as required.
• Requires daily to speak to employees and candidates in other provinces in English and communicate HR related matters.

About you...

• Must be French/English Bilingual
• At least 5 years of Human Resource Management experience
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Strong management and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in Human Resources.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources is an asset
• Human Resources designation is an asset.
• Understandable English; Level of interaction in English is 80% of the time.
