ECE Preschool Teacher/Manager
Effective: 2025-26 School Year
St. Mary's Childcare Centre is seeking an ECE certified Preschool Teacher/Manager. Reporting to the School Principal, the Preschool Teacher will facilitate high quality childcare and preschool experiences for children ages 2.5 - 5 years of age, in alignment with the philosophy of Angels Academy and the Catholic Diocese of Nelson. - Plan and implement consistent, high quality, age appropriate child-centered programs.
- Maintain neat, orderly and clean activity areas.
- Lead with enthusiasm and high energy.
- Ensure provincial safety and supervision standards are maintained.
- Abide by appropriate privacy and confidentiality requirements/legislation.
- Have keen interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- Competent in relationship building/collaboration, creating an environment of open communication
- Effectively build positive interactions and listen attentively with children and families.
- Share information, best practices and resources with colleagues.
- have the ability to work under minimal supervision
CISND participates in the Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement program offered through the Government of BC.
Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications:
- Commitment to Catholic Education
- Identification with and active participation within a Catholic parish community (preferred)
- Early Childhood Educators License to practice
