JOB DESCRIPTION

St. Andrew’s School in Vancouver is seeking applicants for a full-time educational assistant position beginning as soon as possible . The candidate will support learning in the classroom by working with individual and small groups of students in a collaborative environment. The successful applicant will be able to work with a variety of students, ages and abilities.

Preference will be given to candidates that have at least 3 years experience working as an EA, but experience working in a school environment beyond a practicum experience is necessary. Candidates should also have experience working with students on the Autism spectrum and with POPARD, CPI and EA certification. Catholic candidates will be required to submit a Pastoral Letter of Reference and non-Catholic candidates will be asked to submit a Non-Catholic Pastoral Letter of Reference.

The successful candidate would be required to work from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and compensation would start at $24.00 per hour.

The candidate would also be required to assist one day a week after school in our After School Program which runs from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
