About this opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager, M&R Process and Performance, the main responsibility of the CMMS Technician will be to provide end-user support and improve the work management processes/systems, provide input to optimize, deliver training and coaching to the processes/systems and support the site with viewing and investigating critical metrics and reporting data.

This position will enable you to apply maintenance-related business and system knowledge to support the operation of our Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) facilities.

Work Environment:

This role could move between Christina Lake, Sunrise, and Foster Creek, based on business need.

CHRISTINA LAKE:

  • This is a full-time employee position working a shift of 12hrs per day, 8 days on, 6 days off. Tuesday to Tuesday, rotating days, and nights.

  • Christina Lake has full-service camp facilities.

  • Depending on your place of residence and your shift rotation, bus and/or air transportation to/from site is offered from designated departure points in select locations.

  • Christina Lake is serviced by flight Hubs in Calgary and Edmonton as well as bus transportation to site from La Corey, AB. and Lac La Biche, AB

What you’ll do:

  • Provide end user support of work management processes in SAP, focusing on work identification, work execution and closeout (Notifications and Work Requests)

  • Provide mentoring to the work management processes in SAP and perform auditing to confirm alignment with standards and procedures

  • Manage SAP reporting and information requests and deliver SAP training and develop related work instructions and procedures

  • Assist in the development of SAP and Power BI reporting and KPI’s. Leverage corporate dashboards to better manage performance and support business needs

  • Demonstrates strong business judgment and can network, communicate, prioritize, and work in a busy environment with multiple partners

  • Prioritize multiple requests and system requirements to meet the organizational goals.

  • Coordinate with multi-functional teams including Calgary and other sites and provide backup support for other sites as needed

  • Stay on top of new technical applications development and assist in their implementations

  • Support alignment and commonalities for CMMS procedures and practices among all Cenovus sites

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

  • High School Minimum, Post-secondary education preferred - Technical Diploma or Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) certification

  • Minimum of 3 years related maintenance experience with maintenance standards, procedures and processes within the energy industry

  • Solid grasp of the SAP Plant Maintenance module and Power BI

  • Working knowledge and experience with work management processes

  • Highly motivated, with outstanding interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Experience in data queries and report building

  • Experience working with integrated computer solutions and new technologies
