About this opportunity:

The Corporate Planning Analyst plays an important role in steering the development, consolidation, and analysis of business plans across our organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager, this position requires an experienced professional capable of fostering collaboration across departments, aligning operations with strategic objectives, and championing financial and operational excellence aligned with Corporate Planning guidance.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and maintain consolidated business plans integrating financial and operational objectives.

  • Conduct scenario analysis to assess potential impacts on the company.

  • Evaluate strategies for optimization in partnership with business units.

  • Build detailed financial models for long-term planning.

  • Consolidate financial data from various business units, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting.

  • Align consolidated planning results with financial reporting standards.

  • Track long-term business performance against guidance targets and KPIs.

  • Provide insightful analysis on variances.

  • Collaborate with business units to understand corrective actions.

  • Work closely with business offices, department heads, finance, and enabling teams.

  • Capture inputs for business planning.

  • Ensure plans reflect operational capabilities and financial constraints.

  • Use market trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory information to provide proactive insights.

  • Prepare and present reports on consolidated business plans and performance metrics.

  • Provide strategic insights to senior management and collaborators.

  • Identify innovative approaches to enhance the Corporate Planning process.

  • Leverage sophisticated tools and methodologies for improved efficiency and accuracy.

Who you are:

  • Background in relevant fields (e.g., oil & gas, commodities, engineering, accounting, or finance).

  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability.

  • Analytical competence with attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to collaborate across functional teams.

  • Discretion of confidential data.

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.

  • 3-6 years of experience in Corporate Planning, financial analysis, or strategic planning.

  • Completed university degree in Accounting, Finance or Engineering.

  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

  • Highly organized and adaptable.
