Are you looking for an exciting Co-op Internship opportunity full of meaningful, diverse, and challenging assignments working alongside industry leading professionals? We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Field Operation Students to join our Conventional, Heavy Oil Department for a 4-month work term. This role offers hands-on experience in the field of operations and technology, providing an opportunity for students to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios.

This is NOT a camp-based location. Successful candidates will be required to relocate to Lloydminster.

What you’ll do

· Provide technical support to field teams, including installing, calibrating, and repairing equipment or machinery.

· Capture and record data from field operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

· Assist in identifying and resolving operational issues, suggesting improvements, and implementing standard processes.

· Support Field surveillance requirements as needed.

· Support operations performed maintenance activities, maintenance contractors and vendors by communicating requirements, policies, and procedures.

· Perform site inspections, complete area logs and records.

· Immediately report any hazards, safety incidents, or near misses that occur to ensure a safe work environment.

Who you are

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:

· Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa)

· Available to begin work in May 2025

We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.

Education

· Must be enrolled in a Petroleum, Chemical, or Power Engineering Program at an accredited post-secondary institution or similar at an accredited post-secondary institution. Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered

· New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.

Working Conditions

· May include frequency of travel, sitting, standing, computer work, lifting, driving, working at site, etc.

Safety Sensitive

· This may be a safety-sensitive role, and you will also be required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during required work hours. Furthermore, you will also be required to pass the pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol assessment requirements.

· Safety sensitive positions require the operation of a motor vehicle, applicants are asked to provide a recent (i.e., issued within the previous 4 weeks) original driver is abstract, for the preceding 5-year period, if offered the position. A valid Canadian class 5 Driver's License with no restrictions (i.e., non GDL) is a requirement for this role
