Description
Reporting to the Manager, Patient and Family Experience, the full-time, temporary (until October 31, 2025) Patient and Family Centred-Care (PFCC) Clinical Specialist will support the Patient and Family Experience Office with the development and implementation of a framework for family support at CAMH. This will involve supporting the completion of an environmental scan and literature review and connecting with relevant internal and external stakeholders. The PFCC Clinical Specialist will help to bring together relevant stakeholders and family advisors to co-create a framework for family support and will support the implementation of change ideas stemming from this work, including identifying ways to measure the impact of these ideas.
The PFCC Clinical Specialist will also support the PFE Office with the implementation of new experience measurement tools and with the analysis of patient and family experience data. They will also support the development of processes to better use experience data to inform quality improvement. They will assist with the completion of reports (e.g. for the Clinical Quality Committee of the Board of Directors, the Clinical Leadership Team and the Executive Leadership Team). The PFCC will also support the work of the Patient and Family Advisory Committees and will use their clinical experience to support other projects that the PFE Office is pursing, including journey mapping and photovoice. The PFCC Clinical Specialist will also support the work of the Patient and Family Experience Coordinators, including advising around complicated cases as required. This position is located at the Queen Street Site.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in a related field and be a regulated health professional in good standing with their respective College. Experience in the mental health and addictions sector is required. You will have strong knowledge of Patient and Family Centred Care principles. Experience working with family/caregivers is an asset. Strong presentation skills are required, along with strong interpersonal and written communication skills; negotiation; leadership and the ability to work effectively within and among dynamic teams. The successful candidate will be someone who can bring many stakeholders together to achieve a common goal. The ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and communities is essential. You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
