As Canada’s largest mental health care provider, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health provides evidence to drive system and policy change through the implementation of innovations and novel service delivery interventions. The Research Operations, Services and Support (ROSS) office is a central group within the CAMH Research Institute that provides administrative support to ensure that all research activities carried out at CAMH or by CAMH personnel comply with funder, governmental or institutional policies and regulations.

The ROSS office is seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Program Officer reporting to the Manager, Research Practice to support the Koerner Centre for Research Training (KCRT). The KCRT supports the CAMH research community, with a focus on research trainees and early career researchers, in the development, implementation, and evaluation of a range of initiatives, services, and resources supporting the dynamic community of learning within CAMH. The Program Officer will be an integral member of the ROSS team and will work closely with the Scientific Director of KCRT, the ROSS office, and CAMH scientists, trainees, and staff.

The Program Officer will take an active role in coordinating the diverse array of Centre initiatives, with the purpose of providing opportunities for community-building and learning for research trainees, staff, and scientists. The successful candidate will facilitate community-building for CAMH research trainees by developing communications to bring awareness to supports and resources, and by supporting trainee recruitment efforts. The Program Officer will also provide support in the development of training for core competencies in key areas of research conduct, grounded in principles of equity, diversity and inclusion. The Program Officer will stay abreast of current training developments and opportunities.
