The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is the largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital in Canada, as well as one of the world's leading research centres in its field. Our services are delivered to help transform the lives of people affected by mental illness and addictions. Our goal is to tailor treatment to each individual, providing patient-centered, comprehensive, coordinated care. The Krembil Centre for Neuroinformatics (KCNI), a research centre within CAMH, is harnessing the power of high-performance computing to integrate and analyze the wealth of data generated about the brain. Our research is performed in an open science environment, with an emphasis on reproducible data-driven research and a patient-centric approach to accelerate identification and treatment of mental illness. A focus on global collaboration is key to transforming our understanding of mental health and its treatment. The Centre operates as an incubator for medical technologies to identify, manage and treat mental illness, while shaping policy at national and global levels.
Position Details:
Reporting directly to the KCNI Research Manager and working closely with the Chief Health Information Officer (CHIO) and Chief Clinical Informatics Officer (CCIO), CAMH is seeking a full-time, 1 year contract, Research Analyst to support several research activities across the portfolios of the CHIO and CCIO within the Information Management Group at CAMH. This position offers the opportunity to be part of an active, interdisciplinary, and productive team, working with cross-functional areas across CAMH. This position is located at 250 College Street.
This position will require expertise in clinical informatics, health informatics, health information systems, end-user engagement, and knowledge/experience in implementing and evaluating complex health information technologies in a mental health and addictions setting. The ideal candidate will be supporting research and evaluation activities for improving and optimizing existing and new clinical information systems at CAMH. The candidate will be working alongside an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, project staff, technical staff, and research staff, and will be capable of conducting research and administrative tasks independently and with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have combined experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods and analysis as well as experience supporting the development of numerous knowledge outputs (i.e., academic publications, reports, presentations, etc.) for a variety of audiences. The candidate will be expected to support grant submissions, literature reviews, writing abstracts, creating surveys, creating quality improvement ethics applications and other related activities.
