Cloud Engineering Consultants use their skills and knowledge of cloud computing to design solutions for a variety of customers. Your passion, technical and business depth, and excellent presentation skills will help guide our leadership team to make solid business decisions. You are a futurist and a leader so other architects come to you for advice and guidance. You know what needs to be done, how to get it done, and you have the ability to manoeuvre with agility in our global organization. You will be an excellent representative for CGI to our customers.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the company's cloud infrastructure in line with the latest industry standards.
• Perform Linux operating system patch upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Configure and manage security settings and protocols to protect cloud systems and data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, including system failures, security breaches, and network issues.
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement cloud strategies and solutions.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, including troubleshoot and resolve any issues.
• Provide technical support and guidance on cloud systems to other team members.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in cloud computing and Linux operating systems.
• Ensure all cloud operations comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates, and key management.
• Understanding and experience with containers.
• In-depth knowledge of networking.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role in cloud computing.
• Extensive knowledge of Linux operating systems and experience with system patch upgrades.
• Strong understanding of cloud security configurations and protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud system issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
• Familiarity with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates, and key management.
• Understanding and experience with containers.
• In-depth knowledge of networking.

Educational Qualification
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.
