Successful candidates will work with clients within the financial services industry, to help define, develop and deploy industry leading Wealth Management solutions. We are seeking an experienced Project Control Officer to support a large-scale enterprise initiative aimed at driving change, delivery, roles and responsibilities, and organizational structure. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the entire program, ensuring its success, and driving adoption of new processes and practices across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and program management to deliver the initiative's objectives on-time and within budget.
You will have access to the latest technologies and tools, and robust processes including agile methodologies. You will also be collaborating with experienced colleagues around the world.
• Financial Planning & Budgeting
o Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and financial forecasts.
o Review project proposals to ensure alignment with financial goals and availability of funds.
o Provide insights into resource allocations, cost-benefit analysis, and budget variance analysis.
• Financial Monitoring & Reporting
o Track project expenditures and ensure spending aligns with approved budgets.
o Prepare periodic financial reports and dashboards for stakeholders, highlighting cost deviations, trends, and potential risks.
o Assist in the preparation of financial statements, quarterly reviews, and monthly financial health checks for projects.
• Variance Analysis & Cost Control
o Analyze financial variances and provide recommendations to address cost overruns or underspending.
o Implement and monitor cost-saving measures without compromising project quality.
o Maintain a detailed log of financial adjustments and changes to project budgets.
• Compliance & Governance
o Ensure all financial practices align with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
o Assist in audits by providing accurate and timely financial documentation.
o Maintain records of approvals, budget changes, and expense justifications in line with company protocols.
• Risk Management
o Identify potential financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
o Develop financial risk management plans and monitor risk factors as projects progress.
o Work with cross-functional teams to address financial issues proactively.
• Stakeholder Communication
o Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related financial inquiries.
o Communicate financial findings, forecasts, and issues effectively with non-financial stakeholders.
o Provide training or guidance on financial tools and procedures as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project control, financial management, or project management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and project management tools.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data for various stakeholders.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or financial management (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
