Senior Java Developer / Tech Lead

We are hiring multiple Senior JAVA Developers and Tech Leads for a major client in the banking industry. This is a unique opportunity to work on strategic and innovative projects in a dynamic environment.

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and high-performing Java applications.
- Collaborate with architecture, testing, and operations teams to ensure quality and stability of delivered solutions.
- Analyze business needs and propose suitable solutions.
- Optimize performance and maintain existing applications.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
- Ensure adherence to best development practices and security standards.

- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Java development.
- Strong expertise in Core JAVA, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Kafka, SQL Server, and Cloud (Azure or AWS).
- Experience with Java concepts, multithreading, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with microservice-based architecture and database integration.
- Experience implementing message-driven communication using Apache Kafka for asynchronous processing.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Currently residing in Canada.
- Comfortable speaking English.
- Ability to work in a hybrid mode (2 days per week at a CGI office).

Nice-to-have (Assets/Plus):
- Experience with RESTful APIs development using Spring Boot.
- Proficiency with Git (GitHub / BitBucket).
- Experience in an Agile development environment.
- Knowledge of Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Experience in the banking or financial sector.
