Chinook’s Edge School Division (CESD) and Olds College of Agriculture & Technology (OC) invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of Director of Learning for our Community Learning Campus (CLC) effective August 31st, 2025, with a possible earlier start date depending on candidate availability. The Director provides overall leadership and direction for the CLC partners’ career and dual credit educational programming at the K-12 and post-secondary levels. The Community Learning Campus is a joint venture between Olds College of Agriculture & Technology and Chinook’s Edge School Division.



The Director provides overall leadership and direction for all CLC operations and partners’ educational programming. The successful candidate will be able to provide detailed evidence of:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education and an Alberta teaching certificate. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s Degree in Education or Leadership;

  • Evidence of both academic and administrative leadership experience and success;

  • Demonstrated excellence in developing and delivering system-wide educational career programming, including dual credit and off campus, to meet the needs of K-12 and/or post-secondary learners;

  • Strong demonstration of ability to successfully lead a variety of teams to address the unique needs of both OC and CESD within the CLC partnership.

  • Experience in long-range strategic planning, managing budgets with awareness of system needs;

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of service to multiple stakeholders;

  • Experience and knowledge at the provincial level of Alberta Education Dual Credit/Collegiate/Career Education; current involvement in this area is an asset. The successful candidate will be required to maintain and enhance provincial connections and influence.

  • The ability to implement, grow and develop sound education business practices, policies, and strategic plans;

  • The ability to think critically, to solve problems in complex environments, and to make decisions that demonstrate sound judgment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, and public relation skills.



Reporting to the Vice President Academic at Olds College of Agriculture & Technology and the Associate Superintendent Learning Services at Chinook’s Edge School Division, the Director:

  • Serves as key liaison for OC and CESD stewarding the CLC partnership and all programming within.

  • Works in collaboration with senior leadership, the CLC Executive Committee, and a variety of operations committees to meet the CLC and organizational vision, mission, values, and outcomes.

  • Supports institutional direction and strategic planning, leadership of staffing teams, and co-leadership of youth career programming goals.

  • Leads, facilitates and oversees dual credit, off-campus, and all aspects of youth career pathway strategic actions for both organizations.

  • Leads a variety of teams to address the unique needs of both OC and CESD within the CLC partnership.

  • Represents the CLC and coordinates our interests with a strong leadership presence at the provincial level of Alberta Education Dual Credit/Collegiate Programming/Career Education.

  • Maintains and enhances provincial connections and influence.

  • Oversees budget including revenues, expenses, reserves, grants and strategic planning.
