POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a Handyman / Residential Housekeeping Attendant for a building located in Montreal, full-time and on call for emergencies. Are you said to be a versatile person, agile with your hands and a keen sense of organization? You are the person we need! A member of the maintenance service team, the handyman's main function is to ensure the general maintenance of the building.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to change water heaters
- Able to lay floating floor
- All other related tasks
- Carry out site maintenance according to the frequency planned for this purpose or when required
- Clean and carry out tasks related to the maintenance of floors and carpets in common areas
- Ensure maintenance of property spaces and systems
- Ensure security and compliance with building regulations
- Ensure the cleanliness of entrances and common areas, terrace and outdoor swimming pool
- Ensure the cleanliness of the working environment is maintained
- Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of the premises
- Knowledge of fire safety rules
- Knowledge of plumbing and electricity
- Knowledge of ventilation system
- Maintain the grounds, indoor parking, storage spaces
- See to the maintenance and monitoring of equipment and mechanical systems
- Wash windows at main and secondary entrances
- Actively participate in various company committees - Know and apply company policies and procedures
- Clear and salt the entrances
- Communicate the maintenance needs for materials and products and upkeep of the building to the immediate superior
- Make service calls
- Minor repairs in apartments and common areas (plaster, paint, change lights, various installations, etc.)
- Organise or perform all other related tasks regarding the maintenance department, as required and as requested by the immediate superior
- Preventive maintenance on equipment
- Remove snow and ice on sidewalks
- A DEP in general builing maintenance (as asset)
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience
- Customer service experience an asset
- Has tools
