POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Purpose of the position
Under the supervision of the Division Controller, we are looking for a professional recognized for his team spirit, positive attitude and ability to learn quickly, to join the Real Estate Development and Construction division as an Assistant Controller. You will be part of a dynamic team and will participate in varied and stimulating projects in the field of accounting.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the monthly loan disbursement application process
- Assist with year-end audits
- Carry out any other tasks of the same nature or of a general nature related to the job, requested by his superior or required by his duties
- Contribute to the construction payment process and monitor receipt submissions
- Contribute to the month-end cycle in a multi-company environment
- Contribute to the monthly reporting process
- Coordinate the work of the accounting clerk(s)
- Monitor cash flow on a weekly basis and coordinate payment production
- Monitor contract terminations of subcontractors
- Prepare end-of-month reports and analyses
- Produce monthly invoices for construction projects
- Produce reports to governments
- Review and ensure the correct accounting of various invoices
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field
- CPA professional title
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Mastery of the complete accounting cycle
- Experience in a multi-company environment
- Experience in the real estate/construction industry (an asset)
- Bilingualism French/English (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of Office Suite software
- Knowledge of Hopem and Maestro software (an asset)
