POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the responsibility of the Head Chef, the incumbent assists the chef and cooks in their tasks. He/She participates in the preparation of cold dishes and desserts, cuts and peels vegetables or fruits, arranges plates, prepares meal carts and participates in the maintenance of equipment and the kitchen with the rest of the team.
Permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and every other weekend.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out cutting and peeling vegetables and fruits
- Assemble plates of food
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
- Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and the workspace
- Manning the warm table, help residences with their choices
- Perform other related duties
- Supervise the preparation of cold meals and desserts
