POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The cook participates in the preparation of cold dishes and desserts, cuts and peels vegetables or fruits, prepares plates, and much more!

Permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week, daytime from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and every other weekend.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
  • Ensure and optimize quality standards in the use of food
  • Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • Peel and cut vegetables for meals
  • Plan and cook meals in accordance with the appropriate methods and standards
  • Supervise the preparation of cold meals and desserts
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
  • A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in institutional cuisine or equivelent
  • Knowledge of senior living facilities, a major asset
  • Hold the MAPAQ
