POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Head Chef, the Kitchen Assistant assists the chef and cooks in their tasks. They participate in the preparation of cold dishes and desserts, cut and peel vegetables and fruit, plate dishes, prepare meal carts, and participate in the maintenance of equipment and the kitchen with the rest of the team.
Schedule: Part-time, daytime, every other weekend.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble plates of food
- Clean kitchen equipment
- Ensure and optimize quality standards in the use of food
- Peel and cut vegetables for meals
- Good team player
- A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in institutional cuisine or equivelent
