Maintenance Attendant

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are currently looking for a maintenance attendant to fill a permanent part-time position 25 hours per week, day and evening, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and every other weekend.

The job will become full-time, 40 hours per week in January.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the maintenance manager when needed.
Construction
  • All other related tasks
  • Communicate the maintenance needs for materials and products and upkeep of the building to the immediate superior
  • Maintenance and cleaning of indoor and outdoor parking lots
  • Make service calls
  • Perform minor repairs in apartments and common areas
  • Preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Remove snow and ice on sidewalks
  • Taking out the trash
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
  • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and minor repairs
  • Professional training in general building maintenance (an asset)
