POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Our welcoming Faubourg Giffard residence, a few steps from downtown Quebec City, is looking for a full-time maitre(ess) d'hôtel, daytime, from 10:00am to 6:30pm.
Schedule week 1: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Schedule week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with kitchen employees to ensure good teamwork
- Contribute and ensure the maintenance of the cleanliness of the dining room by taking on some household chores, in collaboration with the whole team
- Greet residents in the dining room and ensure their comfort
- Perform other related duties
- See to the preparation of cold dishes and desserts
- Take orders, note specific requests from residents and follow up in the kitchen
- Welcome customers and ensure the integration of new residents by offering them an adequate table
- knowledge of a Maitre D's responsibilities (an asset)
- At lease 3 to 5 years of experience in restoration
