POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Recreation Manager is in charge of the residence's entertainment and events. They design, plan, and organize individual or group activities, whether sports, intellectual, fun, or recreational, shows, conferences, or discovery workshops. These activities aim to foster a pleasant living environment, focused on the enjoyment, well-being, and integration of residents.

Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week, daytime from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday, and occasional weekends.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Decorate rooms and common areas during events
- Determine the necessary equipment, plan logistics and organize tasks to meet deadlines
- Ensure resident satisfaction during and after the proposed activity
- Lead, supervise and involve residents in activities
- Manage residents' registrations for various activities
- Monitoring and control of the budget established at the start of the year with the General Manager
- Other tasks related to his functions.
- Plan the schedule of a variety of activities and special events, based on residents' interests
- Promote activities and events to residents
- Promote and promote the residence in its community through social networks and local involvement
- Regularly survey residents to adjust programming and ensure that it continues to meet the needs and tastes of the clientele
- Share relevant content related to the residence’s activities and events on social networks
- Work closely with the various departments involved in order to facilitate everyone's work and ensure the success of activities
- Write and distribute the monthly internal newspaper
- Collect degree in recreation (DEC) or other related field
- Experience in managing activities related to older people (an asset)
- Experience using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn in a professional setting
- Proficiency in IT tools such as the Office suite and Teams.
- Knowledge of retirement homes, an asset
- Management experience
- Minimum experience of 2 to 3 years in a similar position.
