The Résidence du Verger is a retirement home located in the heart of St-Jérôme, home to a clientele with a heart of gold, full of kindness and gratitude! We are looking for someone to fill a part-time recreation technician position. We are looking for a positive, dynamic, confident person who has teamwork at heart! Because you will have to lead activities in the care unit of the residence and help the recreation manager during major events.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Schedule: 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Salary between $17.50 and $18.50
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Animate and oversee supervision during the activities
- Decorating the premises for special events
- Manage the logistics pertaining to the activities
- Plan the activities calendar
- Promote activities related to the residents
- Regularly validate that activities correspond to the needs and desires of the residents and collaborate with the different departments of the residence to facilitate tasks
- Welcome the residents and invite them to participate in the activities
- Write the in house newspaper as needed and take residents' registrations for the various activities
- Experience in managing activities related to older people (an asset)
