Position Overview:
Configuration Technician
Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure new and refurbished systems for internal and external customers.
  • Install, test, troubleshoot and diagnose software and hardware related issues.
  • Meet daily production deadlines as assigned by the Configuration Scheduler.
  • Communicate with vendor specific and internal technical support staff to resolve technical issues.
  • Staff are responsible to follow ISO procedures outlined in Compugen’s Quality Management System.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in Electronics or related Information Technology program.
  • Minimum 2 years PC industry experience which includes but is not limited to refurbishing experience on desktops, notebooks, printers etc.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in relation to PC and Server based hardware.
  • Fast learner; Proactive self-starter.
  • Ability to follow instructions with minimal guidance; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • High attention to detail; proven track record of delivering quality work based on precision workmanship.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in a sales-oriented environment preferred.
  • Able to lift independently a minimum of 30 lbs.
