Description
We are currently looking for a daily assembler for our customer, a leading manufacturer and distributor of writing and display solutions.
Reporting to the Team Leader/Assistant, the main responsibilities of the Panel Assembler are to assembly, cutting and gluing of boards or special projects.
*** Your daily tasks ***
- Carry out applicable tasks in accordance with work instructions
- Take various measurements
- Can work with various equipment such as band saws and punch presses
- Can work with tools such as retractable blade knives, drill presses, glue sprayers, etc., or pneumatic tools for screwing on the sides,
glue sprayer, etc., or pneumatic tools to screw panel sides together and attach
hardware required for installation
- Handle the materials required to manufacture visual communication panels and
decorative steel for architectural wall panels, doors, etc.
- Glue and assemble panels
- Stack metal bars and/or sheets
- Pay visual attention to product quality control
- Keep work area clean
- Perform any other tasks relevant to the position.
*** Skills and requirements ***
- Relevant experience in industrial or manufacturing machining an asset
- High school diploma (DES) or combination of training and experience deemed relevant
- Well-developed manual skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Versatile and dynamic
- Good physical capacity and able to stand all day long
*** Desired skills ***
- Good judgment and attention to detail
- Must demonstrate a strong sense of loyalty and integrity
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
