*** PERMANENT POSITION ***
We are looking to hire a polisher for our client, a preferred supplier of metal components and fume hoods creating durable, high quality products.
*** ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES ***
- Checks parts to be polished, prepares them and selects appropriate tools. He/she will polish parts mainly in stainless steel with a food-grade satin finish;
- Assemble and adjust tools and abrasives, mainly grinders, and check abrasion parameters according to standards;
- Polishing according to the techniques associated with the various metals: steel, aluminum and stainless steel. He/she ensures surface finish and polishes parts according to drawing specifications;
- Check the use of abrasives and change them if necessary. Clean parts (degreasing, pickling, washing);
- Sandblast certain parts using a sandblasting machine;
- The polisher uses acid-based products (electrolysis) to remove welding imperfections and performs infiltration tests.
