Overview

The Marketing Specialist - Western Canada will develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns that align with Cooper's overall marketing and sales strategy. This role includes a variety of responsibilities, from managing special projects to coordinating events and ensuring brand consistency across all initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities:

Brand Management

  • Ensure all marketing initiatives adhere to Cooper’s brand guidelines.
  • Support branches and regional teams with correct brand assets for local initiatives.

Marketing Collateral and Content Creation

  • Create compelling marketing collateral, website content, thought leadership materials, and other sales enablement tools.
  • Support Cooper branches, sales team and specialty divisions with marketing collateral, campaigns, and promotional items.
  • Assist marketing team with proof-reading all marketing collateral materials, both print and digital.
  • Contribute to developing social media content for LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.

Campaign Development and Execution

  • Develop, support, and implement targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Leverage analytics to measure success and assist in development of future campaigns.

Specialist Projects and Event Coordination

  • Coordinate events and tradeshows in Western Canada including booking venues, managing booth supplies, and executing pre- and post-show communications.
  • Coordinate ordering of promotional items for the Western Canada region.
  • Support the sales team with internal and external presentation development as required.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of all industry-related award submissions.
  • Support the Director of Marketing and Senior Executive team with ad hoc projects as required.

Vendor and Stakeholder Relations

  • Liaise and build relationships with external vendors, design agencies, print suppliers, and association representatives.
  • Build and develop relationships with key Cooper stakeholders.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Collect, analyze, and summarize marketing performance data to prepare reports.
  • Establish and monitor marketing KPIs and performance metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to the Director of Marketing.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Marketing or related area of study, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of marketing and branding principles.
  • Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong writing and proof-reading skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics.
