What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment in the shop and field
- In the field, conduct scheduled mechanical maintenance and inspections for equipment mainly composed of diesel light towers, while assisting with lube and services for various other pieces of equipment
- Respond to unscheduled mobile maintenance (breakdowns) to start or repair vehicles and equipment that are disabled
- In the shop, assist with inspections, maintenance and repairs on equipment including (but not limited to) aerial lifts, forklifts, scissor lifts, pallet jacks, floor sweepers, excavators and skid steers
- Complete required paperwork and documentation in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean work vehicle and work area as necessary to maintain a safe work environment
- Follow all company and work-site policies and procedures, and governmental and equipment related safety requirements
- Available to be on call when needed
- Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of mechanical work experience, preferably working on a variety of construction equipment
- Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or Truck and Coach (421A or 310T) license is an asset, but not required
- Valid G driver’s license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract
- Flexibility; must be comfortable with adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment and with changing between the shop and field environments
- Must have own tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner
- Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as with a team
