What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with installation of heater(s) on customers’ site as needed (occasionally).
- Troubleshoot equipment problems on customers' site or over the phone.
- Perform annual inspections, service & repairs to heaters in the Bolton Climate Control facility and occasionally on-site.
- Document all service and repair information.
- Complete daily hazard assessment(s) whether working on-site or in the shop.
- Complete a daily circle check on forklift and/or service truck when utilized.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have a CH-SM1 certificate (A person who is the holder of a CH-SM1 certificate or the holder of a record of training for the purpose may service propane, natural gas or oil-fired construction heater or torch with an input of any Btuh. O. Reg. 215/01, s. 49.)
- Experience servicing temporary construction heaters is an asset (direct-fired, indirect, hydronic, electrical, etc.) but training will be provided.
- G1 / G2 / OBT-1 / OBT-2 certificates are preferred
- Very customer-oriented, good organizational skills and able to work independently.
- Must have your own basic tools.
- Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed (primarily in winter months).
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Experience in servicing generators / diesel engines is an asset (as some heater types have them attached) - training is also provided.
