• Configure, monitor, and support Fortinet network hardware (firewalls, switches, routers) to ensure optimal performance and security

• Conduct regular network performance monitoring and analysis to identify and resolve issues proactively

• Use diagnostic tools to monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the network infrastructure

• Develop and maintain network documentation, including configurations, policies, procedures, and best practices

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, policies, and security requirements

• Collaborate with third-party vendors for equipment procurement, updates, and incident management

• Work closely with the extended IT Helpdesk to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for software, hardware, and network issues, ensuring timely resolution of IT tickets

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

• 3+ years of experience in network engineering, specifically with Fortinet hardware.

• Proficiency in VPN setup, configuration, and management.

• Familiarity with network monitoring and security tools.

• Experience with other network hardware brands and cloud environments is a plus.

• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and unsupervised, showing initiative, sound judgment, and a commitment to improving IT services and supporting end-user productivity.

Bonus Qualifications: 

• Certifications like Fortinet NSE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer, Microsoft Intune, or CompTIA Network+

• Proficiency in SD-WAN technology, with experience in setup, configuration, and management

• Experience with other network hardware brands and cloud environments is a plus
