What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prospect new business opportunities at construction jobsites and offices to drive rental revenues
- Establish relationships with new clients through cold calling and following up on leads
- Identify and analyze customers’ climate control needs, and present appropriate solutions
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business growth targets
- Participate in trade shows, training workshops, and networking events
- Log details of customer interactions in the CRM system and complete all other required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion
- Develop a strong understanding of market conditions and competitor pricing
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide excellent customer service and technical support throughout all stages of the rental cycle
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proven experience in an outside sales role
- Knowledge of propane and climate control solutions is a definite asset
- Working knowledge of the B149 Canadian propane codes would be an asset
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; a post-secondary diploma would be an asset but is not required
- Valid class 5 driver’s license and a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract
- Highly driven for results with a customer and team-oriented mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties at all levels of the organization in a professional manner
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as with a team
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to problem-solve effectively
- Passion for sales and customer service and a desire to learn and develop in the pump and power industry
- Comfortable with computers
