SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
A person who conceptualizes, produces and disseminates information to the public and staff, including managers, using communication tools.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Communications, the Communications Technician will:

  • Design and produce high-quality outreach tools, including simple infographics, , and other visual communication materials.
    ? Support the online presence of CBHSSJB for both internal and external web tools.
    ? Conduct layout and desktop publishing tasks for various documents.
    ? Create and implement online surveys, compile statistical data, and generate reports.
    ? Manage and update directories and mailing lists.
    ? Support the innovation of communication tactics to effectively reach audiences on health and social services information.
    ? Develop diverse communication tools adhering to best practices in communication outreach.
    ? Support knowledge dissemination strategies on the organization's website and intranet, collaborating with a team of professionals specialized in knowledge dissemination.
    ? Participate in the monitoring knowledge dissemination tools, conducting tests, satisfaction audits, and presenting results to the Communication team.
    ? Temporarily assume the responsibilities of a related position when required.

REQUIREMENTS
Experience:

  • Diploma of College Studies with a specialization in communication, administration technology, or another relevant field recognized by the Ministry of Education of Quebec;
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in the communications field;
  • Experience in the health and Social Services sector is considered an asset.
    Knowledge and abilities:

  • Good knowledge of Health and Social Services Network and the Cree communities;

  • Public/community relation orientation, awareness of the First Nation's reality;
  • Ability in the identification and analysis of the information needs in a work and life environment;
  • Excellent critical thinking;
  • Knowledge of planning and research methods, statistical analysis, information systems and evaluation;
  • Excellent communications skills;
  • Familiarity with online marketing tools, social media platforms, and collaboration tools such as the MS Office suite software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, etc.);
  • Knowledge of audio-visual systems and skills in working with animated video production software is considered an asset;
  • Team spirit, collaboration work and adaptability;
  • Ability to manage priorities and work within tight deadlines.

LANGUAGE* Fluent in English;* Fluency in Cree and French is an asset;

OTHER* Willing to travel.
