Description
Person at an outpost or dispensary in a locality covered by the provisions on regional disparities, who, in addition to his regular duties as a nurse, does patient assessments that allow a doctor to make a diagnosis at a distance and determine the appropriate interventions. Also, is required to carry out actions and interventions that are generally reserved to doctors in other work environments.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
Miyupimaatisiiun service components aim at providing health and social services in an integrated approach. The nurse works in a multidisciplinary approach.
The Chishaayiyuu Life cycle service components aim at providing health and social services for prevention, care, rehabilitation and support of adults aged 30 and over, as well as individuals of all ages suffering from chronic disease. This includes services for chronic conditions such as, but not limited to, diabetes, hypertension and renal disease. Services are given where it is best suited in accordance with the clients' needs.
Home Care services aim at providing health and social services for prevention, care, rehabilitation and support of individuals of all ages suffering from conditions that are facilitated through home services. This includes services for conditions such as, but not limited to palliative care. Services are given where it is best suited in accordance with the clients' needs. Miyupimaatisiiun service components aim at providing health and social services in an integrated approach. The nurse works in a multidisciplinary approach, rotating as needed from Chishaayiyuu, Home Care and Current Services.
The mobile nurse will work in the following departments: Home Care, Chishaayiyuu and Current Services according to the needs determined by the immediate supervisor.
Education:
- Member in good standing of the O.I.I.Q *(Bachelor's nursing degree holders will be paid according to the 1911 job title ) .
Experience:
- Two (2) years of diversified experience as a nurse or One (1) year of experience as a nurse in an emergency room.
Language:
- Fluent in English;
- Fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
Other: * This position includes on-call periods for the current services;* Includes extended role functions;* A skill-based test may be required;* Must have a valid driver's license;* Must have your own vehicle.
NOTE
Nurses who have followed the extended role training and have not successfully completed this training are excluded from this posting. However, the nurse who demonstrates a minimum one year of new acute care experience since the training may request a reconsideration of this exclusion.
