SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Person who, based on her/his extensive knowledge of the needs and expectations of her/his work environment, contributes to defining the information and communication objectives and programs. She/he updates the methods and implements activities aimed at promoting the circulation of information and improving communications within the organization. She/he participates in the evaluation and design of general internal and external information programs.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
The incumbent is responsible for analyzing customer needs and developing strategies to produce quality graphic, printed and digital productions. He will have to work closely with his colleagues in order to accomplish his various tasks:

  • Advise internal clients and members of the communications team on preferred graphic design for files or projects in line with strategies;
  • Participate in brainstorming and project planning meetings;
  • Maintain and develop an attitude of customer service at all times by establishing positive and professional relationships with internal and external customers;
  • Work in close collaboration with team members to promote alignment of all communications activities;
  • Develop visual concepts in line with client objectives and target audiences;
  • Carry out editing, layout, graphics, infographics, image research and more, for the CBHSSJB's various printed or electronic communication tools (leaflets, posters, advertisements, banners, newsletters, infographics, animation, etc.);
  • Create, adapt and prepare files for printing;
  • Coordinate the various stages of graphic production with our internal and external partners and ensure monitoring;
  • Design corporate presentations as needed;
  • Apply and ensure compliance with graphic standards and brand image in various tools (video, photos, web, social networks, print, etc.);
  • Ensure strategic monitoring in order to draw inspiration from best practices.

Education:

  • A terminal bachelor's degree in communication, public relations or a related discipline.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Good knowledge of the Health and Social Services Network;
  • Knowledge of Cree culture, language, and social/health issues in Eeyou Istchee is an asset;
  • Mastery of Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop software as well as the Office suite such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint;
  • Be intellectually agile and demonstrate initiative in the ideation process;
  • Autonomy, flexibility and team spirit;
  • Interest in the health sector;
  • Curiosity and creativity;
  • Concern for quality and attention to detail;
  • Passion for a job well done and proactivity;
  • Sense of planning and priority management to handle numerous files simultaneously;
  • Ability to work in a team;

LANGUAGE* Fluent in English (written and spoken);* Fluency in Cree and/or French is an asset.
