SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Person who assesses social functioning, determines an intervention plan and ensures its implementation. She/he supports and restores the social functioning of the person according to his environment in order to promote the optimal development of the human being in interaction with their environment.
Person who designs, implements, updates, analyses and assesses activities and provides guidance and counselling services in one or more social programs.

REQUIREMENTS
Education:

  • University degree in social work;
  • If using the reserved title, the person must provide her/his employer with annual proof that she/he is a member of the Ordre professionnel des travailleurs sociaux du Québec.
    Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in various fields and programs.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Good understanding of psychosocial issues;
  • Ability to apply Eeyou/Eenou culture, values traditions and teachings into programs and services where possible;
  • Ability in the identification and analysis of the professional's needs;
  • Ability to communicate theoretical and practical knowledge, as applied to coaching and training;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Autonomous, discrete and empathetic;
  • Teamwork capabilities.

LANGUAGE* Fluent in English;* Fluency in Cree and French is an asset.

OTHER:

All JBNQA Cree beneficiary hired to work for the Wiichihiituwin direction either at the Montreal or the Val d'Or or the Chibougamau point of service are entitled to the following benefits:
