SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Person who coordinates, manages and supervises the activities of analysis, implementation, evolution, implementation, support and operational support of projects concerning complex, multi-site and related to all sectors of the organization. He/She is an expert in her field of specialization.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

The Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB) has just created an IT Project Management Office (IT/PMO) in order to make sure the projects are carried out smoothly and that the management is efficient. In such a context the PMO managers wishes to offer the IT project managers a coordination support for the technical portions related to the IT projects.

Under the supervision of the coordinator PMO and the Team Leader, this individual will be part of the IT/PMO team and his/her main role will be to carry out the technical development tasks.

  • Identification of the list of IT equipment needed for projects and its administrative management;
  • Documentation of current and future IT infrastructure;
  • Creation of server / telecom room rack layout diagrams;
  • Creation of server / telecom room floor plan layouts;
  • Creation of fibre optic, CAT6, and telephony cabling plans;
  • Creation of standards and documentation to help the project managers.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: * Bachelor degree in computer science.

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of relevant professional experience.

In the absence of a candidate matching the above-mentioned requirements, a candidate with a collegial diploma in a
relevant discipline with eight (8) years of appropriate experience may be considered.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Products and applications, Windows, etc.;
  • Experience in documenting application configurations and design;
  • Experience with application network equipment's;
  • Knowledge of network management platforms and tools;
  • Knowledge of the MSSS applications is an asset;
  • Project management abilities;
  • Suppliers/Vendors and consultants coordination;
  • Knowledge of Cisco switches and routers;
  • Knowledge of HPe servers;
  • Knowledge of VoIP solutions;
  • Knowledge of the health network is considered as an asset;
  • Capable of working in a complex technological setting in constant transformation;
  • Team spirit, autonomy and client orientated thinking;
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to popularize, ability to express his/her thoughts, to influence and convince;
  • Motivation and strong determination to produce results in order to meet the organization's need;
  • Strong capabilities in verbal and written communication;
  • Capability to establish priorities and work under pressure;
  • Ability to express him/herself clearly verbally and in writing;
  • Have a good sense of responsibilities.

LANGUAGE* Fluent in French and English;* Fluency in Cree is an asset.

OTHER* Available to travel inside and outside of the Eeyou Istchee territory as required;* Possibility of telework.
This position offers the possibility of telework, depending on operational needs and after agreement with the employer. Please note that this is not a permanent condition of the position and the employer reserves the right to request regular physical presence in the office.
