Description
Our client is currently looking for a Personal Lines Underwriter to join their team. Do you want your customers to enjoy a unique, personalized and exclusive experience? This position is for you.
Your duties will include:
- Assess and process risks beyond agent authority levels.
- Manage the most complex automobile and home insurance contracts, renewing or terminating according to established guidelines.
- Ensure compliance of files at the time of renewal and clearly communicate conditions of acceptance or refusal.
- Provide technical support to agents on risk selection criteria and computer systems.
- Respond to requests for risk, product and rate accommodation.
- Provide first-class customer service by answering calls, chats and e-mails in a call center environment.
- Follow-up with agents/clients on quotes and risks underwritten.
- Analyze relevant reports (inspections, vehicles, claims) to assess risk and claims exposure.
- Maintain technical skills through online and other training.
What we are looking for:
- At least 4 years' experience in personal lines insurance.
- Interest in obtaining CIP (Chartered Insurance Program).
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
- Good command of computer systems (MS Office suite).
- Sound judgment and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Autonomy, initiative and openness to change.
- Ability to work in a team and manage time effectively.
- Bilingualism (French and English) required to communicate with our customers, partners and teams across Canada.
- Good interpersonal skills and motivation to provide exceptional customer service.
