Description
Each Family of Schools (Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, Pickering) will have a Designated Occasional Teacher (OT) in a LTO assignment starting January 6, 2025. Each Designated OT will be assigned a Home School in their Family of School where they will report to daily.
If the Home School is not in need of support on any given day, the Designated OT will be re-assigned to another school in their Family of School.
The successful candidates will be paid at the LTO grid rate of pay.
Position : Kindergarten to Grade 8 (supporting absent teaching staff in various divisions -Pr/Jr/Int)
Effective Date : January 6, 2025
End Date: June 27, 2025 (subject to change due to an earlier end date)
Interested candidates must hold the following qualifications:
Certification in good standing from the Ontario College of Teachers
Primary/Junior and/or Junior/Intermediate Qualifications
NOTE: Designated OTs will be supporting students from Kindergarten to Grade 8
