The Durham District School Board is accepting applications for Uncertified Supply for the 2024-2025 school year.
The DDSB is responsible for public education in the rural settings of Uxbridge, Brock and Scugog Townships and the urban settings of Ajax, Whitby, Pickering and Oshawa
Description:
Under the direction of the Principal/Vice-Principal, uncertified supply support students within the classroom, provide supervision and must be able to respond appropriately when issues arise.
Uncertified Supply will be assigned to our in-person schools. Uncertified Supply are utilized for daily assignments when there are no supply teachers available for an assignment.

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree or diploma program or have completed a degree or diploma program
Experience working/volunteering with elementary aged children
Experience working with children with different cultural backgrounds.
Experience working with children with differing needs and capabilities.
Ability to ensure the safety and security of students.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and privacy of student information.
Interested candidates must be able to work a minimum of three (3) school days a week. This is a contract position till the end of June 2025. Successful candidates will be assigned to a school based on the board's needs.
