Summary:
Lunchroom Supervisors work under the direction of the Principal of the school to which they have been appointed. Lunchroom Supervisors shall be responsible for supervising students who remain on the school grounds over the lunch hour recess. The Principal shall determine the time period during which the lunchroom supervisor will be employed.
Duties:
1. Lunchroom Supervisors support students in various classroom settings to provide lunch break supervision on a daily or supply basis.
2. Supervising the setting-up and removal of lunch room equipment.
3. Supervising the disposal of lunch refuse in suitable containers and the general cleaning of the lunch room areas.
4. Dealing with discipline problems in a manner prescribed by the Principal and reporting significant disciplinary actions to the Principal or his/her designate.
5. Carrying out such noon hour supervision duties as the Principal may assign.
Qualifications:
We're looking for lunchroom supervisors with the following skills and qualities:
• Experience working with children
• Ability to ensure the safety and security of students
• Ability to communicate with staff, students and parents
• Willingness to work with students with different needs and capabilities
• Ability to work as a team player
• Proven record of attendance and punctuality
• Demonstrated commitment to working in a diverse school community and/or work environment
Minimum age requirement for this position is 16 years old. With a valid SIN and legally eligible to work in Canada
How much time is involved?
Lunchroom supervisors will generally work approximately 1-2 hours per day (or more depending on the school's requirements) during the school year from September to June.

Since this is a casual position that works daily or on-call, on a day-to-day basis during the school year (September to June), lunchroom supervisors must live within a reasonable distance to the school.
Lunchroom supervisors are hired by schools directly.
