International Business Development Manager

Main responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth in international markets by obtaining adoption of our products by furniture manufacturers and ensuring their specification to architects, designers, and furniture dealers.
  • Identify and evaluate international business opportunities to align expansion with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Develop market penetration strategies for new regions, including market analysis and specific action plans.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key players and influencers in the industry.
  • Oversee key accounts, agencies and/or sales representatives, ensuring all aspects of the customer relationship are managed.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of international initiatives.
  • Represent Duvaltex at international events and trade fairs to increase our visibility and strengthen our brand.
  • Collaborate with export agencies and governments (e.g. Investissement Québec, EDC) to optimize the resources available for our expansion.
  • Contribute to the implementation of effective customer relationship management (CRM) tools and processes.

Qualifications

  • A degree in business administration, international relations or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in international business development or management of international sales networks.
  • Mastery of international business practices, market dynamics and cultural differences.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of CRM tools and ability to adapt to emerging technologies.
  • Bilingualism in French and English, oral and written.
  • Availability to travel frequently (30-50% of the time) internationally.
