The Advisor Construction Project Manager plays a key role in supporting and executing construction projects within the Operations or Capital Programs portfolio. With 2-4 years of experience, this role is ideal for early-career professionals who are growing their project management skills and are ready to take on greater responsibility. Under the guidance of senior managers, this individual will help manage construction schedules, budgets, contractors, and safety performance while ensuring field execution aligns with company standards and regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do:Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects ranging up to $50M, including pipeline, station, and facility builds in accordance with internal processes and procedures.
Monitor construction progress in the field to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
Support the preparation of construction scopes, cost estimates, and timelines in collaboration with Engineering, Project Controls, and other departments.
Coordinate day-to-day communication with contractors, inspectors, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
Participate in pre-construction planning, including material readiness, permitting, and construction work package reviews.
Help manage contractor performance and ensure work is being performed according to specifications and company standards.
Attend pre-job and progress meetings; take clear and concise action items and follow up as required.
Work closely with Safety and Quality teams to uphold a strong safety culture and promote continuous improvement.
Support project cost tracking and forecasting activities, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
Assist in construction closeout processes, including documentation, lessons learned, and turnover to Operations.
Provide project management support during emergencies and lead project site activities as required.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or related technical field.
4 years or more of relevant experience in construction project execution or field coordination, preferably in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
Familiarity with construction practices related to pipeline, facility, or utility work.
Basic understanding of project management principles and tools (e.g., scheduling, budgeting, risk management).
Working knowledge of safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, CSA, TSSA etc.).
Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and contractors.
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a field-oriented environment.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); exposure to scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera is an asset.
Willingness to travel to project sites within assigned areas, sometimes on short notice.
Experience supporting capital construction projects for pipelines, compressor stations, meter stations, or related infrastructure.
Exposure to contract administration and field-level change management.
Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving mindset.
Certification or progress toward PMP, CET, GPI, or P.Eng. designation is considered an asset.
Split between Office and Filed work, during all seasons and weather conditions. A Valid G License and responsible driving record is needed.
Travel within a set geography is required on a daily basis.
Travel beyond a set geography is required occasionally.
