As an Analyst, Quality Assurance(QA) in the Chatham Meter Shop, you will work as part of an innovative and collaborative team to prove the accuracy of the ‘cash registers’ of the company. Your technical ability, attention to detail, and desire for continuous improvement will be utilized to ensure compliance to Measurement Canada and internal standards. Our team tests and seals natural gas meters and devices to supply accurate, safe, and reliable measuring devices to our customers.

Note: Internally this role is referred to as Analyst Quality Assurance

What You Will Do:

  • Complete the duties of QA Analyst as defined in the Meter Accreditation Program (MAP)

  • Test Residential, 400 and 1000 Class meters for accuracy and conformance to standards

  • Maintain proving room and all test equipment

  • Investigate non-conformances and initiate corrective action

  • Participate in program reviews, updates, and enhancements including writing and/or revising policies and procedures

  • Lead various QA Projects and/or initiatives as required

  • Back up for other QA Staff

  • Perform meter record creation and upload to Maximo

Who You Are:

Required:

  • Related university degree and/or previous industry experience

  • Strong mechanical and electronic technical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Willing to travel and occasional back up for other locations

  • Willing and able to achieve ASQ-CQIA designation

Preferred:

  • Quality Assurance experience and a working knowledge of statistical analysis programs are assets
