As our organization continues to grow we're looking to add high energy, motivated and forward-thinking Production Pharmacy Assistant to our candidate pool for upcoming roles!
The Production Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for packaging and shipping of pharmaceuticals (both refrigerated and non-refrigerated) and medical supplies. The clerk will use various warehouse equipment and computer systems. Training will be provided.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Package prescription medications according to regulatory requirements.
Retrieve, count, pour, weigh or measure quantities of medications as directed by the medication order.
Review patient notes and preferences on pharmacy operating system; incorporate direction accordingly.
Assemble patient information materials as specified by the pharmacist
Receive medication deliveries and maintain medication inventory with a first-in-first-out mind set.
Support in the management of the pharmacy’s medication inventory, including expiry checks, product organization, etc.
Support in the management of supply-related needs.
Support in the maintenance of an organized work area.
Display a desire to support all areas of need within the pharmacy as directed by the pharmacy management team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years of relatable experience, preferably in a pharmacy setting
Proficient in Kroll software
Computer literate, possessing intermediate skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
CRM experience is preferable but not required
Excellent written, verbal and oral communication skills,
Team player with the ability to work independently
Strong customer service focus
Strong work ethic and positive attitude is a must
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Flexible to situations and adaptable to change
A thorough understanding of quality assurance and delivery of service excellence
Excellent organizational skills, effective time management, and the ability to shift priorities working within established timelines
Demonstrates initiative (learn processes and procedures, various benefits) and displays self-motivation to grasp new concepts quickly
Results-oriented paying attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and be willing to stand/walk for your shift is an asset
