Job Description

What you’ll be doing
  • Assigned cleaning using specified disinfecting/sanitizing agents to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Assists residents, when necessary, with a professional attitude, and patient approach
  • Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces
  • Adheres to established company policies and procedures regarding infection prevention and control, quality assurance, fire, and safety etc.
  • Notifies Manager on any damages, deficiencies, disturbances, or concerns.
  • Participates in staff meetings as assigned, attends in service education programs and completes all mandatory education as assigned.
  • Collaborates with other departments in such tasks as transferring residents, moving, ordering and storing supplies, ordering/maintenance/distribution of furniture and equipment etc.
What you bring
  • Ability to read and write English as well as understand verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Comfortable moving furniture/equipment, handling heavy items, reaching, squatting, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, using cleaning chemicals, and exposure to wet floors.
  • Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined which includes ability to maintain regular attendance in addition to work in a very dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrates concern and interest in providing quality care and service for residents.
  • Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
  • Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening to be provided.
