For my client in the heart of downtown, I'm looking for an Accounts Payable Technician on a temporary 12-month contract. This is a temporary, hybrid mode contract (3 days telecommuting and 2 days in the office).

Description :

- Act as the Company's representative with suppliers;
- Manage the accounts payable auxiliary;
- Distribute and approve accounts payable invoices through the Factuo interface;
- Manage suppliers' e-mail inbox;
- Reconcile accounts payable;
- Perform purchase accounting tasks such as validating and matching purchase orders and invoices submitted for payment;
- Enter invoices into the Virtuo accounting system;
- Follow-up with the Ministère du Revenu du Québec - Compensation Gouvernementale;
- Issue disbursements by direct deposit, cheque or bank transfer;
- Calculate and process GST/QST payments;
- Manage non-resident files for T4-NR issuance;
- Issue Relevés 27;
- Follow up on payments to artists and their respective associations;
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts with suppliers;
- Respond to requests from the Auditor General of Quebec during the annual audit;
- Digitally file accounts payable vouchers;
- Perform all other related tasks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

- College diploma (DEC) in accounting or equivalent;
- 5 to 7 years' experience in a similar position;
- Excellent command of spoken and written French, and working knowledge of English
knowledge of English;
- Proficiency in Office suite (Excel, Word and Outlook, Teams);
- Knowledge of Virtuo accounting software, an asset;
- Knowledge of a web-based invoice approval platform, an asset;
- Experience in the public sector and in service companies, an asset;
- Interest in cultural environment.
