Hi, I'm Christina, Recruitment and Business Development Consultant with Fed Finance, a recruitment agency specializing in finance and accounting. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in the Greater Montreal area.
Our team of finance experts speaks your language and works in your environment. We cover the finance, accounting and payroll professions.

I'm looking for an Accountant for my client located in Montreal-North. This is a permanent position in hybrid mode, 2 days remote and 3 days on-site.

Your responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements.
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities.
- Manage daily banking operations.
- Prepare various government remittances.
- Maintain an accounting ledger.
- Post accounts.
- Identify variances and non-compliance issues.
- Analyze inventory levels, turnover rates and carrying costs.
- Perform reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
- Collect, analyze and interpret cost data for materials, labor and overhead.
- Calculate and monitor standard costs, variances and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify cost drivers and trends to support cost reduction initiatives.
- Present various reports (costs, gross profits, margins, etc.) to management for decision-making.
- Assist with monthly and annual closing processes.

Your profile:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- CPA designation (asset).
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP (asset).
- Knowledge of inventory management and production processes.
