My name is Fiona, and I'm a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on Montreal's South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.

I'm looking for a senior accountant for my client, a manufacturing company. This is a permanent position in Varennes.

Job duties and responsibilities:

Perform general accounting, invoice entry and bank reconciliations for the three (3) management companies.
Prepare payments for the three (3) management companies
Approve daily digital bank deposits
Perform computerized month-end closings for 5 companies in the ERP system (NAV)
Prepare financial statements and monthly reports for one operating company in compliance with NCECF accounting standards
Complete monthly GST and QST remittance reports for three (3) management companies
Verify sales staff commission calculations
Prepare monthly Interco operations report
Make monthly trips to the bank
Prepare any other financial reports or analyses requested by the Controller.

Qualifications and experience
Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in an accounting department;
Proficiency in the use of an ERP accounting system (Required)
Mastery of current NCECF accounting standards (Required)
Knowledge of ERP NAV (Asset)
Family business expertise (Asset)
Manufacturing experience (Asset)
Ability to communicate in French and English, as there are exchanges with the Varennes team and representatives in the US.
Familiarity with payroll processing and applicable legislation
Familiarity and understanding of inter-company transactions
