I'm Caroline, Recruitment Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.
I'm looking for an Accounting Analyst for my client based on the South Shore. This is a permanent hybrid position.
- Manage day-to-day cash flow, ensuring that cash flows are balanced and optimized.
- Reconcile deposits to the accounting system and bank statement.
- Prepare and review variance analyses to identify and explain variances.
- Prepare inter-company transfers and manage advances between entities.
- Monitor accounts payable, receivable and other balance sheet items, ensuring their accuracy.
- Validate inter-company account balancing and calculate related interest.
- Record accounting entries, perform month-end reconciliations, prepare accruals and analyze variances.
- Maintain accounting records: prepare month-end entries, accruals, and monitor inter-company transactions.
- Prepare and review variance analyses to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Participate in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Prepare presentations and other reports for internal and external use, providing clear and accurate financial information.
- Prepare sales tax (GST/QST) remittances in compliance with tax regulations.
- Prepare and review annual tax returns to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, providing detailed financial analyses and collaborating with other departments.
- University degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Professional designation (CPA, CFA) is an asset.
- 3 to 5 years' experience in accounting and financial analysis
- Mastery of accounting software and financial management tools, as well as excellent Excel skills.
- Knowledge of Canadian tax rules, including GST/QST.
- Excellent command of spoken and written French and English.
