I'm looking for an accounting clerk for my client in downtown Montreal. This is a permanent, face-to-face contract in the heart of downtown.
Your responsibilities :
-Perform general accounting tasks, including entering financial data into the accounting system;
-Enter invoices and initiate payment of accounts payable;
-Prepare, balance, make bank deposits and update deposit register;
Research NSF (non-sufficient funds) cheques and make necessary adjustments;
-Assist with bank reconciliation;
-Assist team with month-end preparation and year-end audit;
-Assist team with preparation of official donation receipts;
-Provide general administrative support to finance department.
Knowledge and experience:
Vocational diploma, Attestation of Studies or College Diploma in Accounting, Administration (or related work experience);
-Prior experience of 3-5 years in a similar role;
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, Planner);
-Knowledge of Blackbaud software (Raiser Edge and Financial Edge), an asset;
-Knowledge of accounting principles for charitable organizations, an asset;
-Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

-Excellent knowledge of French, spoken and written, and agility in English.
