My name is Clémence, and I'm a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the island of Montreal. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll.
I'm looking for an accounting technician for my client in the training sector. This is a permanent position in the city center in hybrid mode.
Under the supervision of the Finance Director, and in collaboration with the Accounting Clerk, the Accounting Technician records the accounting transactions for which he/she is responsible and closes the accounting periods. He/she assists in the production of financial results and other required information. He/she contributes to implementing new processes and ways of doing things in the finance department.
Responsibilities :
- Verify and enter supplier invoices
- Prepare TFE payment batches
- Perform customer invoicing
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Calculate and make month-end adjusting entries (amortization, prepayments)
- Process and account for payroll
- Post expense accounts
- Assist accounting clerk as needed (accounts receivable, cancellations, refunds)
- Filing of accounting documents
- Assists Finance Director with other tasks
- 5 years in a similar position
- DEC
- Comfortable with computer tools
- Good knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, Power Query) - Imperative
- Good knowledge of sales taxes - A must
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Business Central - Asset
- Knowledge of Moneris Web platform - Asset
- Project costs - Work in progress - Asset
- Good judgment, thoroughness and organization
